AAAS Resolution:
Endorsing the Declaration of 2005 as the World Year of Physics
Whereas 1905 represented a turning point year in the genesis of modern
physics with the publication of three of Albert Einstein’s seminal papers;
Whereas the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has issued a declaration naming 2005 as the
World Year of Physics;
Therefore, be it resolved that the AAAS endorses the declaration of 2005 as the World Year of Physics.
