AAAS:
Committee to Urge Appointment of Scientist as Chief of Weather Bureau
Whereas it is eminently desirable that scientific men especially skilled in their departments be appointed as heads of the scientific bureaus of the government, it is resolved that a committee of three be appointed to communicate to the US President that it is the opinion of the Council that a scientific man skilled in meteorology should be selected as Chief of the Weather bureau.
[Adopted by the AAAS Council, April 22, 1913.]
