These files contain early education activities such as the NSF-sponsored traveling school library program. From 1955 to 1962, the traveling school library reached nearly 6,000 schools around the United States encouraging many to create their own science libraries. In 1963, the program was transformed into a Guide to Science Reading, a predecessor to the current AAAS Science Books and Films.
